Young Swans have their chance to impress in Coffs Harbour

The Swans have released their 29 player squad for their their upcoming JLT community match against North Melbourne, to be played in Coffs Harbour on Saturday.

New Swans captain Josh Kennedy has been named to lead his club for the first time, and will be joined by experienced teammates such as Luke Parker, Dan Hannebery, Nick Smith, Kurt Tippett and Sam Reid, lining up for his first senior game in more than a year.

A perfect mix of youth and experienced heads have been named, with Swans first round pick Oliver Florent joining 5 other first-year players, Darcy Cameron, Sam Fisher, Jack Maibaum, Robbie Fox and Ben Ronke. Former Giant and Bomber Shaun Edwards has also been named.

The future of the Swans will be on show, with young guns Isaac Heeney, Callum Mills and Zak Jones playing, as well as up-and-comers like George Hewett, Dan Robinson and elevated rookie Nic Newman. Irish rookie Colin O’Riordan is set to make his pre-season debut. The 21 year old arrived in Sydney last year as an international Category B Rookie and starred his his first season of football, to earn a spot in last years NEAFL Team of the Year.

The squad will be whittled down to 26 players an hour & half before the game. The full list is as follows:
